I am in the middle of reading “Shiny Objects” right now.
Recently, I was asking myself the question, “what are the most important things in my life?”
The answers were things that I am already doing, that cost little or nothing. Having more material possessions would ultimately take me away from these goals.
Freedom from want for me would be freedom from wanting the things I really need but can’t afford. Namely, dental care and always knowing that I’ll have enough to make it to the end of the month. Stuff usually just turns into time and energy consuming clutter.

Thank you for stopping by and commenting. I did not know the relationship between Hill and FDR – good to learn new things.

I find it interesting the connection too between depression and inspirations

Nice post! Napoleon Hill was FDR’s personal advisor. Hill actually wrote the contents of this speech for FDR. Roosevelt was a fabulous inspirer, but often fell into depression. Their relationship was a very interesting one.

What does ‘Freedom from want’ mean to me? It means the ability to aspire higher, and climb to the heights of these aspirations without old NO’s from my past sabotaging my journey. Thanks for asking? blessings
