KIRK’S TRUCK
I did not notice at first anything unusual about Kirk’s Truck. Kirk is the owner of South Sound Solar and doing the construction on our PV panels and Hot Water Panels.
The truck seemed like any other contractor’s truck. I took a picture of his sign on the side and put it on a post.
Then I noticed. On the cab are three solar panels. They are not running the truck nor are they for advertisement or show. The panels generate power which is stored in batteries located in the truck bed.

There is a solar charge controller…

The batteries run a power inverter…

… which is hooked up to an extension cord which powers all of Kirk’s electrical tools on site.

It is much quieter than other contractor’s generators we have experienced on our site.
That’s putting the cab and truck to good use and compensating for the carbon used in driving the truck!
This construction has been a most enjoyable experience. Kirk is a fair and honest person and his crew respects the boss and your home – it is very evident. Thank you for your good efforts on our behalf.
