Solar Panel Construction on our Roof – More pictures.
These pictures are really fun without the pounding and footsteps overhead.
The fellows thought they could take off their shirts and do a calendar for funding – raising for school tuition!! Nice try guys! Actually this has been a very tidy, polite work crew.
Robert wanted his picture taken pruning the 100 year old apple tree to make way for light. That is two and half stories up. Robert is part of White’s Tree Service.
Puget Sound Energy thought we were not using their services from their comments on our last post. No we are using their services and meters, I just could not say when they are coming to install those meters, but we were hoping the project would be completed and running by September 9th – Give or take PSE’s follow through and our producing the paper work and inspection information.
South Sound Solar is contracting for the project.
Looks like we will be on the Solar Project Tour on October 3, 2009; looking for more information to post on that event.

Thanks for helping to dispel the myth that “solar doesn’t work” in Washington, and nice job by South Sound Solar.
Looking forward to more progress updates here on your blog.

Whitney,
Thank you for your good IT work and pin ups! Nice job kiddo
Corrections to the post: Asked my IT person to correct Puget to South Sound Solar and it will be done soon…
and Kirk at South Sound Solar states that when Puget Sound Energy receives the inspection permit and go ahead, they will have the meter installed within 10 days…we now know the outside timing for being up and running!
