South Sound Solar Is at My House!
We are busy greening up and saving some more money, by adding Solar Panels and Hot Water System to our house.
We were able to get a fair and green loan and the make the personal choices for our location.

Kirk Heffner, our contractor, and his assistant Patrick are up on the roof now and I will take some pictures of their efforts. We have been very pleased with the care and planning that has taken place so far on this adventure.
It is supposed to be an extremely hot day here – the fellows may not be able to stay on the roof during the heat of the day and work on solar collectors.
I am going to spend the next few days taking pictures of the work in progress to post on this site, and I am collecting all the product information sheets and will name names as they come into my hands…
Our current Puget Sound Energy Bill came yesterday – pre-solar panels, and it was a whopping $223.00, for our efficient home – this included 3 weeks of no computer running, using the clothes line, no one home during the day, and 4 days of incredibly hot weather (we set a record at 104’ F one day) and the heat pump ran the AC. It was primarily a very cool and cloudy month.
It is a big risk but we think it will pay off in the long run and create more value. It also feels like the right thing to do.
